1990 Census

The total population for the District is 125,492. Of this total, there are 24,336 individuals from ages 1 to 11; 17,066 from ages 12 to 21; 58,533 from ages 22 to 49; 21,741 from ages 50 to 74 and 3,815 from ages 75 to 85+. Roughly, there were 7,067 individuals in the Antelope community; 32,434 individuals in the Foothill Farms community and 85,995 individuals in the Citrus Heights community.

The income breakdown is as follows: $0-14,999, 7,441 households; $15,000-$24,999, 9,004 households; $25,000-$44,999, 16,943 households; $45,000-59,999, 9,298 households; $60,000- $124,999, 7,185 households; and $125,000-150,000+, 504 households.

Growth from 1980 to 1990 can be attributed primarily to the rapidly developing Antelope area. Antelope alone was expected to show a 212% percent increase between 1980 and 1990, compared with an average of 20.7% for all other areas of the District. From 1990 to 2000, Antelope's population is expected to grow 80%. Based on 1980 Census information and Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) growth projections, the District can expect a 35% increase in population from 1980 to 1990 and 17% increase to the year 2000.
